7 interests related to education management research are: 1) learners, 2) staff or teachers and, 3) organizations, 4) culture, 5) society, 6) government, and 7) connect. In a systems approach, the scope of the educational management research related to the input (man, money, machinery, materials and methods), process/ management functions (planning, organizing, stafing, directing, coordinating, financing and the reporting), and the associated output the productivity, effectiveness, efficiency, satisfaction, etc. There are also the scope of the research is based on the component/program management in terms of educational management, based on the educational component, based on the scope of the implementation. Scope of educational management research include: education management theory, theoretical - practical, management models, and process management. Object of educational management studies include: 1) what are the activities that make up the construct of management, ranging from planning, organizing, controlling, actuating, 2) systemic components that undoubtedly exist in the educational phenomena, ranging from the inputs, outputs, outcomes, learning process, learning facilities, environmental, teachers, curriculum, support personnel, instructional materials, society, evaluation. In accordance purpose and function, research have 5 roles or tasks: description, explain, developed theories, prediction and control. Associated with educational management, this short article tries to analyze what role/function, scope and how the research stage of educational management? The function of education is to study the science development, problem solving, and supporting the development of education policy.
